Companies
Company services for Australian businesses
A company changes over its life. It is registered, adopts rules, issues or transfers shares, updates its records and may eventually close or need to be restored. We help business owners identify the right corporate step, prepare the supporting documents and keep the legal record consistent with what has actually happened.

Company work organised around the decision you need to make
Company administration is not one service. Registering a new proprietary company is different from establishing a public company. Changing a name is different from changing a constitution. Moving shares between owners is different again from a selective buy-back or forfeiture.
This area separates those tasks so you can start with the event you are dealing with. Each page explains the purpose of the work, the information likely to be needed and the decisions to settle before documents are prepared or anything is lodged.
Start and structure
We assist with company registration, company-name questions, constitutions and sole-purpose trustee companies. Where the structure also involves a trust, accountant or tax advice may be needed alongside the legal documents.
Ownership and governance
Shares, constitutions and director arrangements need to agree with each other. A transaction may require more than a form: resolutions, notices, updated registers, certificates and agreements may all be part of the same event.
Records, closure and restoration
Company searches help establish what the public record says. Deregistration may suit a company that is no longer needed; reinstatement may be necessary where a deregistered company still owns property, has unresolved rights or should not have been deregistered.
Frequently asked questions
Can you tell me which company service I need?
Yes. Tell us what has happened, what outcome you want and whether there is a deadline. We can identify whether the work is a registration, governance change, share transaction, records issue or closure process.
Do you provide tax or accounting advice?
We advise on the legal documents and company process. Where a decision has tax or accounting consequences, we work with your accountant or tell you when separate advice is needed before the transaction proceeds.
Will one ASIC form complete the change?
Sometimes a lodgement is only the final step. The company may first need a resolution, notice, consent, agreement or updated register. We check the legal record and the public record rather than treating the form as the whole transaction.
How are fees and timing handled?
The scope depends on the company, its records and the transaction. We confirm the work, fees and expected timing in writing before we begin.
Send any company extract, constitution, register or proposed transaction documents you already have.

Tell us about your matter and we'll respond within one business day. Transparent fees: a written estimate before work begins, fixed-fee options where we can, and we tell you immediately if the scope changes.
